Solo Exhibition 2022 & Palette of Pomme’s Book

"Yesterday I was, Tomorrow I will be."

Solo Exhibition at River City Gallery, 6 Oct 2022 - 20 Nov 2022.

A line is only a few things in this particular world that we can see with our eyes and touch by our feelings. In the visual world, a single 'line' endlessly becomes a form, a pattern, and an outline as long as the creator's imagination takes you.

In the sensory world, we all have a 'timeline' that can't be seen with our eyes but is parallel to every change and growth in our life. Although it is visually invisible, it is a firm line dwelling on our feelings. Especially when we stop and look back.

On the artistic path of Pomme Chan, both the line and timeline exist in parallel and connect seamlessly. When we glance at the line on Pomme Chan's artistic creation, we are looking at the line and timeline of her life. The more the timeline goes forward into the future, the more the line extracted from her experience and emotion is flourishing.

The standard definition of 'Good Things Takes Time' refers to a lifelong dedication to achieve something beyond the ordinary. To Pomme Chan, it is good things that happen during the course of her life. Probably exploring new possibilities in every step of her path could be the definition of an artist like Pomme Chan.

'Yesterday I was, Tomorrow I will be.' is the exhibition telling the story of a 20-year path of Pomme Chan that lies in each line and design by her creation. From day one, the young Pomme Chan started to draw a simple line to share her happiness and feelings, the simplest form of emotion, till today that her line creates happiness for people. Various genres of art are created through her feelings at the very moment; paintings, sculptures, furniture, the list are endless.

Pomme Chan

Thai artist Pomme Chan is known for her unique curvy lines and whimsical artwork. She uses a mix of traditional and digital mediums to bring her visions to life and oftentimes reproduces her work on rugs, wallpaper, packaging, textile, ceramics, and furniture.

Inspiration comes in many forms for Pomme: Movies, music, culture and architecture, but florals and fauna are especially influential themes in her work. Her keen eye for detail makes her an expert storyteller, but she doesn’t adhere to a single style. Instead she likes to keep things fun and flowing, constantly experimenting in her personal work and partnering with different brands to continue to push her practice into different spaces.
