HOW R U?

ความโดดเด่นในอัตลักษณ์ของ Pomme Chan คือการไม่ยึดติดกับรูปแบบทางทัศนศิลป์ที่ตายตัว แต่เลือกใช้ "บริบท" และ "มโนทัศน์" เป็นเข็มทิศในการกำหนดเทคนิค ในนิทรรศการเดี่ยว “How R U?” ศิลปินได้ท้าทายขอบเขตของตัวเองผ่านการผสมผสานสื่อที่หลากหลาย (Interdisciplinary Approach) ทั้งสีอะคริลิก สีน้ำมัน โออิลพาสเทล และการนำสีฝุ่นจากหินธรรมชาติมาใช้เพื่อสร้างพื้นผิวและอารมณ์ที่ดิบและจริงใจ การเลือกใช้วัสดุที่แตกต่างกันในแต่ละซีรีส์สะท้อนถึงความกล้าหาญในการตั้งคำถาม และความต้องการที่จะสื่อสารใจความสำคัญของเรื่องราวผ่านเครื่องมือที่เหมาะสมที่สุด

ในนิทรรศการนี้ "แสง" ไม่ได้ทำหน้าที่เพียงส่องสว่าง แต่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งขององค์ประกอบศิลป์ (Formal Element) โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจาก Lamptitude และการดูแลโดยภัณฑารักษ์ด้านแสง คุณอู๋ สกุลไทย แสงไฟถูกใช้เป็นอุปมานิทัศน์ของ "ฟิลเตอร์" ทางความคิดที่เปลี่ยนมุมมองของเราต่อความจริงตรงหน้า เมื่อค่าสีของแสงเปลี่ยนไป พลวัตของสีฝุ่นหินและรอยแปรงบนผืนผ้าใบก็แปรเปลี่ยนตาม สื่อถึงความไม่จีรังของความสุขและความทุกข์ที่ศิลปินเพียรสังเกตด้วยสติ

“How R U?” จึงเป็นบทบันทึกทางอารมณ์ที่ Pomme Chan ต้องการเชื่อมต่อกับผู้ชมอย่างลึกซึ้ง ผ่านการยอมรับในทุกความรู้สึกที่มีหลายด้าน และการแสดงให้เห็นว่า "มุมมอง" คือสถาปนิกผู้สร้างสรรค์ความหมายให้แก่ทุกสิ่งที่เราสัมผัส

Pomme Chan’s artistic trajectory is defined by a refusal to be confined by a singular aesthetic. Instead, her practice is dictated by "Contextual Necessity," where the concept dictates the medium. In her latest solo exhibition, "How R U?", this methodological fluidity is on full display. Pomme Chan ventures into new territory by converging disparate materials—acrylics, oils, and oil pastels—with the primordial texture of hand-ground natural stone pigments. Each medium is selected not for its visual appeal, but for its ability to render the complexity of the internal state honestly.

The exhibition's conceptual framework is further elevated through a sophisticated dialogue with light. Through a strategic collaboration with Lamptitude and lighting curator Ou Sakulthai, the artworks transcend their static form. Light acts as a conceptual "filter," echoing the subjective lenses through which we perceive our reality. As the illumination shifts, the materiality of the stone pigments and the depth of the oils undergo a metamorphosis, mirroring the fleeting nature of emotion.
